Opened on 1 March 2003, the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) is the first museum in the region to present a broad yet integrated perspective of pan-Asian cultures and civilisations.

The permanent collection is organized in thematic galleries brelated to the four geographicareas: China, Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Islamic world.
