La Casa Encendida ("The Enlighted House") is much more than a gallery, is a cultural and educational center with anything from art in early childhood, language courses for both non-English and non-Spanish speakers, and technology courses for the mentally disabled. Another great feature is their promotion of "green" issues, for which they also offer a whole gamut of lectures and conferences.
