Musée de la Poupée

medium

Established in 1994, the Musée de la Poupée or the Doll Museum is more for adults than for children. There are around 500 dolls, dating from 1800, all arranged in scenes representing Paris through the centuries.

Exhibits are displayed with scale-model furniture, accessories, and toys from the appropriate periods. One room focuses on doll-making and the materials used in dolls.

There are temporary exhibitions (like Barbie and Sindy and ‘France’s best plush animals’), as well as workshops, storytelling sessions and a ‘hospital’ for antique dolls.
