It was discovered at Quinta de Sao Giao , next to the dunes , 500 meters from the sea , by Edwin Garcia Borges in 1961. Awarded by some authors to the Visigoth period , and by others as having Asturianas characteristics , is considered one of the oldest Christian churches the national territory, and even the Iberian peninsula.
