The Museu da Polí­cia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro or the Museum of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro is tells you the story of the first official military police in Brazil.


The museum collection features about 3,000 objects and documents that are examples of the acts of bravery, sacrifice and discipline of the Military Police.

You can see uniforms, weapons, tools and documents related to the history of the institution since its creation.
