The Palacio de los Capitanes Generales was home of five dozen Spanish captain-generals of Cuba.
This palace is presently known as Museo de la Ciudad de la Habana. Inspired in the Cuban Baroque style, the building itself is eye catching.
The collection of the museum features objects and furniture from the colonial era until early 20th century.
A must see are the throne room built for the King of Spain and the original Giraldilla weathervane that once topped the tower of the Castillo de la Real Fuerza.
