Considered one of the most important museums in Bolivia , Casa de la Libertad was the scene of the signing of the Minutes of the country's independence in August 1825. With the republic established , the place was the seat of the legislative branch ( until it moved to La peace , in the late 19th century) and today displays objects that tell the Bolivian saga in the quest for freedom.
