The Salgado beach belongs to the mouth of the River Alcobaça - final section of the Rio Alcoa name after the merger with Rio Dull in Alcobaça - the south shore.
The beach is very long with about 5.3 Km.
The dune system wide and well maintained, gains more importance in the central area, where pontificates the Church of St. Gião.
This is an area frequented by paragliders.
