The The Writers Museum specially dedicated to the essential figures of scottish literature: Sir Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Robert Burns.

Here is possible to see pictures, etchings, busts and memorabilia including bibles, pipes and walking sticks which celebrate the lives of the three writers who all at one time lived in Edinburgh.

The courtyard immediately outside The Writers' Museum has been designated as Makars' Court. Here you can find inscriptions commemorating famous Scottish writers, from the 14th century to the present.
