The Grossmunster ("great minster") cathedral was built from the 9th to the 13th centuries and is famous because it is the city´s largest.

This cathedral is a Romanesque-style church that played an important role in the history of the Protestant Reformation.

It is one of the three major churches of Zurich (the others being the Fraumunster and St. Peterskirche).

With its distinctive twin sugar-loafed towers, and a venerable history at the heart of the Swiss-German Reformation, the Grossmunster “ or Great Minster “ dominates Zurich´s skyline.
