La Ereta Park is an attractive, landscaped park in the grounds of Santa Barbara Castle and on the slopes of Mount Benacantil. It is directly opposite El Postiguet beach and offers great views of Alicante. There are olive groves and a cafe and a restaurant with exhibition rooms promoting local artists. You can take walks along the pathways and an interesting route is to walk down to the old quarter of Alicante.
