he Musée du Luxembourg was the first French museum to be opened to the public, in 1750.

Prestigious temporary art exhibitions, such as ‘Cézanne et Paris’, take place in the Musée du Luxembourg. It was the first French museum to be opened to the public, in 1750, before relocating to Jardin du Luxembourg in 1886; admission prices vary.

Giving relevance to three programmes with themes linked to the history french art: “The Renaissance in Europe”, “Art and Power” and “Palace, Gardens and Museum: the Luxembourg in the heart of Paris, capital of the arts”.

Presenting nearly forty exhibitions every year and organising the events programme for a prestigious venue, the Grand Palais, the RMN-GP is one of the world’s leading exhibition and event organisers
