The Suberco Belvedere (Miradouro do Sitio)

libre

The Suberco Belvedere, 110 meters above sea level, opens one of the most beautiful seascapes of Portugal.
The long promontory that guards and protects the beach has at its end the Fort of St. Michael the Archangel. At 80 meters high is the privileged view of the sea and the Guilhim stone, rock hit by the waves right in front. This is a great place for sport fishing, where the more adventurous challenge the sea splashes of foam the cliffs, inviting meditation. The Barbican Fort, south, the view reaches far horizons and the village takes on a new dimension; north, one finds the wide, sandy North Beach. Beautiful and unknown, surrounded by dunes and pine forests, protected by the headland to the south, which at its base hides a small natural cave - the d'Orca oven. The North Beach is a preserved and ecological space, dedicated by nature the Tourist Evasion, to sport fishing, surfing and walking or cycling. Spared from human intervention, the North Beach allows the reunion of nature with the sea and the solitary adventure deserved rest.
