The Theatre Museum, All Areas kostenlos The Theatre Museum is situated in the Old Court Theatre. Its collection describes Danish theatre history from the 1700s to the present day. Close to Christiansborg Palace's here you can find costumes, scenography, set models, paintings, drawings, and photos illustrate the history of the Danish Theatre from the 18th century to the present time. The Court Theatre is actually part of the museum exhibition, since the public has free access to walk around the theater building. The auditorium is also used for various events such as readings, lectures, concerts and small guest acting. Thorvaldsen Museum, All Areas This colourful Greco-Roman mausoleum is dedicated to the art of Danish neoclassicistic sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. Here you'll find the majority of works produced during the long and illustrious career of Thorvaldsen (1770–1844). The museum displays a comprehensive collection of the artist's works in marble as well as plaster, including the original plaster models used in the making of cast bronze and marble statues and reliefs, which are now on display in museums, churches, and at other locations around the world. The museum also features paintings, Greek, Roman and Egyptian antiques, drawings, and prints that Thorvaldsen collected during his lifetime, as well as a wide array of personal belongings that he used in his work and everyday life. University of Copenhagen Zoological Museum, All Areas The Zoological Museum is part of the Natural History Museum of Denmark, University of Copenhagen, which consist of four natural science museums. The permanent exhibition 'From pole to pole' show animals from around the world in big displays. There is also a semi-permanent Darwin exhibition and a full collection of all the animals in the Danish territory, including Greenland. The museum has many important remains of recently extinct birds in storage, including the eyes and internal organs of the last two Great Auks, several specimens of the Pied Raven, and one of only two known complete skulls of the dodos that were taken to Europe in the 17th century.
