Chiltern Firehouse, just across from Cire Trudon and the Monocle shop, on Marylebone's increasingly dapper Chiltern Street. The restaurant is in the hotel of the same name, the eagerly awaited first London establishment to be produced by American hotelier André Balazs.

It has a stylishly discreet street presence, access is through a closed courtyard (staffed by a straight-out-of-central-casting doorman), which lends it a gloriously clandestine charm – the alfresco tables will be the hot ticket this summer.
