Kitesurfing has become the most popular water sport
and the fascination of gliding or hovering over the water with a kite and a board is attracting more and more people.
In the meantime, the technical standard of kites has grown and the quality of
teaching with it.
This makes it possible to reach learning success in a relatively short time.

KITECENTER PLAYA SUR offers his classes almost all-year long, thanks to the 290 days of wind available in this particular area of the island.

The two locations are the beaches of El Médano and La Tejita.

- El Médano is located directly in front of the school. This is where the basics are taught. Instructors will use specific teaching methods so students can handle the equipment without putting themselves or others at risk.
For lessons in the water helmets with walkie-talkie receivers will be provided, so instructors can contact students at all times and help them to get on the board and surf
for the first meters in as little time as possible.

The wind blows diagonally onshore and when there’s little shorebreak lessons are offered for more advanced riders in a variety of styles, such as Freeride, Wakestyle, Kiteloops or even Waveriding

La Tejita is 3 minutes away from El Médano and has perfect conditions for teaching larger groups.
Wakestylers like to use La Tejita conditions to improve their level and share the water
with windsurfers who are practising their freestyle.
The wind blows diagonally offshore and a rescue boat will be ready to help out at all
times during courses for larger groups.


CLASSES AND COURSES
Both individual classes and courses are offered.
Each course has a 3 hour duration, and it can be taken either individually or in a group of maximum 4 people.

Theory, exercises on the beach, launching and landing of the kite, kitecontrol.

Practical training in the water, launching, waterstart, headphone supported teaching

Start and planing, advanced experience
