Located in Old Montreal, the Pointe-a-Calliere Museum is an archaeological museum.

It exhibits 1000 years of human activity and evidence dating back to 4000 B.C.

This museum is focused on the collections, research, conservation, documentation centre and publications.

Besides temporary collections, the permanent collections are: "Where Montreal Was Born", "Montreal - Tales of a City", "The Youville Pumping Station" and "Montreal Love Stories - The Cultural Connection",
