Istanbul as the best destination in Europe for 2013

Winning cities like Lisbon, Vienna, Barcelona, Nice or Milan, was elected Instambul compulsory.
What distinguishes this from other capital is thus unites the different influences of East and West.
Apart from being the cultural capital of Turkey, Istanbul will host the Istanbul Biennial in 2013 and other cultural activities, including the recent opening of Innocence by Orhan Pamuk, this year 2013 will be marked by the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Republic Turkey by Ataturk, with celebrations, including the opening of the Marmaray tunnel under the Bosporus linking Europe and Asia and the Ataturk Cultural Center in Taksim.
