The city of Agadir was founded by the Portuguese in 1500 and this ancient city there are not many traces after being devastated by an earthquake in the sixties. Today the old city is a modern and functional, with a culture and architecture that contrasts with the rest of the country being one of the most popular seaside resorts in Morocco.
Agadir is known for its extensive golden sand and long, flowing always a pleasant breeze, and enjoys many hours of sunshine. This is one of the destinations of Morocco more desirable for lovers of sea, sun and water sports.

In general, summers are hot and winters are mild. Spring is a good time to visit Agadir. Autumn can be an alternative, but less predictable in terms of rainfall. Summer temperatures are high and should beware of the sun.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Plane: Royal Air Maroc flies from Lisbon to Casablanca, from where they leave numerous domestic flights to major cities in Morocco. Another alternative is to fly to Marrakech and then go by bus or rental car.
By Boat: Carry out several calls daily ferry from Spain, the port of Tarifa, Algeciras and Gibraltar.
By land: You can go in your car to Morocco, using the ferries above.
GETTING AROUND
In Agadir our suggestion by walking.
If your hotel is across from the beach, to leap to the city center just walk about 20 min.
Easily reach also the Arab neighborhood where the shops are good and the prices are quite affordable.
TAXIS
For longer trips, take a taxi at the bus station Innezganne.
You can negotiate with the taxi driver (a bit more than you can afford!) To wait a few hours or more if you want to make the return journey with the same.
COACH
Buses are cheap and easy to use, but beware of rush hour. Make use of elbows to secure a place at this difficult time!
CAR HIRE
Driving in Agadir is safe, but can be confusing. Pay attention to the sudden one-way streets. The roads are well maintained, but the toll motorways are better and safer.
TIPS
Visit Tiznit, a city famous for its silver shops, about 100km from Innezgane for a price of 140 Dirham, about $ 20.
