The capital of Denmark, Copenhagen is placed on the island of Zealend and partially on the isle of Amager. With a population of about 662.000 (almost 1.7 million inhabitants in the Metropolitan Area), the capital is the largest city of the country and Scandinavia.

This vibrant city has so much to offer: From renting a boat and travelling through the canals, green parks and gardens, sea forts, to the stunning Copenhagen lakes.

Copenhagen is to be found on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand, a part on the island of Amager and on a number of small isles among the two. Copenhagen heads to the east, a strait of water that separates Denmark from Sweden - the resund, and which connects the North Sea with the Baltic Sea.
