Devon & Cornwall are full of beauty - untouched, undiscovered and wild places to see. With a mild climate, a predominately rural landscape and some of the world's most stunningly beautiful coastline, England's two most south-westerly counties promise a perfect destination, whatever the time of year.

Few other places in England can claim such a rich heritage. You can visit King Arthur's Castle at Tintagel and feel the Arthurian legend come to life.

REASONS TO GO

With over 350 kilometres of coastline, Devon & Cornwall is the place to be, from historic fishing villages to sophisticated resort towns, with great surfing spots.

ORIENTATION

The River Tamar divides the counties of Cornwall and Devon. This region forms a peninsula, located in the southeast of England. Along the Cornwall and Devon seashore are busy fishing villages, numerous creeks and estuaries as well as modern, cosmopolitan resorts like Torquay and Dartmouth in Devon, or St Ives and Newquay in Cornwall. The north coast of Cornwall and Devon is impressive and rocky, with beaches such as Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Gwithian and Bude offering extended stretches of golden sands and rolling waves popular with surfers and bathers alike.

BEST TIME TO GO

The most pleasant time of the year to visit this region is between late spring and early autumn, when it´s nice to go to the seaside or to the natural parks. In Christmas it´s also beautiful but mostly because of this season´s celebrations.
