Diptyque was then the first to re-visit some of the old fragrance recipes and launched the now classic L'EAU.
In 1961, three friends from the “Beaux Arts” got together to open a boutique where they sold their printed fabrics and an eclectic "mélange" of decorative items. The enthusiasm of the three founders for perfumes and creation where individual sensitivities blended led them to invent a unique style.
Since then they have built a unique fragrance repertoire that is an ode to nature and fine ingredients.
Nowadays Diptyque has accessorised every lounge and room with its distinctively perfumed candles. It's also worth mentioning they currently hold a range of twelve different Eau de Toilette.
