A real Parisian favourite, the Luxembourg Gardens are a beautiful 25 hectares green oasis on Paris fashionable left bank.

Spread with statues, fountains and flowers, the Luxembourg Gardens have many attractions for children: poneys, merry-go-round, puppet shows.

They are animated by students, children, lovers, outdoor chess and tennis players. 

This was the first French garden to be influenced by the Italian Baroque. The gardens, and the palace, were begun in 1612. The Luxembourg has long been seen as a quintessential Parisian space and remains very popular.
