S. Francisco Church and Museum

cheap

A gothic construction from the XIVth century although some features were added later, such as the door which dates from the XVII-XVIIIth centuries. Inside, the church is covered with Baroque golden carvings. It´s worth pointing out the “St. João Baptista” chapel from the XVth century and the “Jessé Tree” engraved in polychromatic wood from the XVIIIth century.

The Church is beautiful, there's gold, gold, gold, everywhere. Too bad that picture taking is not allowed inside the Church.

You need to buy your entrance ticket and the museum entrance, in front of the main church door, and then cross a small courtyard to enter the church proper.

The entrance fee includes the visit to the (small) museum and the crypts.
