The old quarters of Bilbao, a pedestrian area called Las Siete Calles (the seven streets), is the lively heart of the city. These streets bring the visitor closer to the intense history of the “Botxo” (name given to Bilbao by the people from there). It is an area full of small shops and other attractive places to enjoy day and night.

The Hanging Bridge of Vizcaya (Puente Colgante in Bilbao) is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Designed by Basque architect Alberto de Palacio, and completed in1898, the Vizcaya Bridge is described by the World Heritage Committee as a perfect combination of functionality and aesthetic beauty, in ‘an exceptional expression of technical creativity.
