This tour shows the higher regions of Funchal and a small valley in Câmara de Lobos. It all starts and ends in Pico dos Barcelos. A very famous spot, with breathtaking views of Funchal and its neighbour Câmara de Lobos. From there we're off to Eira do Serrado, which stands between Funchal and Curral das Freiras. On a very high peak, also with amazing views of Madeira, with all its natural resources and beauty. At a local bar we can enjoy breakfast with tea, coffee and fantastic chestnut pie. Afterwards we go down to the valley of Curral das Freiras. An isolated but very interesting village in the heart of Madeira Island. There we'll probably find small market activity, from vegetables and fruit to madeiran souvenirs. Finally its a return trip to Pico dos Barcelos, where we have lunch at Quinta Estação. A stunning restaurant that offers a great environment and amazing traditional meals, like beef on a spit. They're also famous for their fillet mignon and incredible desserts.
