The Historical Museum of the Fire Brigade of the State of Rio de Janeiro tells the story of the corporation created by the Emperor D. Pedro II in 1856..

The historical collection is divided in four themes: Fire Department of the Imperial Court, Fire Department of the Federal District, Fire Department of the State of Guanabara and the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Symphonic Band of the Fire Brigade of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

You will see helmets of firefighters from various parts of the world, historic cars, carriages and many more.
