Located in the studio of Russian cubist artist Marie Vassilieff, the Montparnasse is museum provides visitors with a history of the multitude of artists who came from around the world to live and work in Montparnasse at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The museum puts on temporary exhibitions of works by Montparnasse artists, both past and present.

In fact it doesn't have a permanent collection; rather it recalls the great role Montparnasse played during various artistic periods of the 20th century.
