Lagoa de Santo André

très bon marché

The Lagoa de Santo Andre is historically referenced from time immemorial, first as natural harbor with open bar and later as lagoon, after the formation of sand dunes that separates it from the Atlantic Ocean. Powered by six streams, the lagoon is composed of a central basin with an area of approximately 150 ha, which can reach the 350 ha in winter.
Around 1855, fishermen of Ilhavo and your families have reached the Coast of Santo Andre, built huts and warehouses of stem and reed, and due to the abundance of sardines at sea (in the summer) and other fish in the Pond (in the winter), have established two campaigns with farmers of the region, practicing the art sweep nets.
The Lagoa de Santo Andre is a strategic point for the stay, crossing and nesting for many species of migratory birds. The surface calm of its waters, the glide of birds and the green of the pine trees are the Lagoa de Santo Andre an idyllic spot, featuring very special conditions for those who are looking for a contact more direct contact with the nature. The Lagoa de Santo Andre increasingly represents a polo of tourist attraction.
