The Grossmunster ("great minster") cathedral was built from the 9th to the 13th centuries and is famous because it is the city´s largest.

This cathedral is a Romanesque-style church that played an important role in the history of the Protestant Reformation.

It is one of the three major churches of Zurich (the others being the Fraumunster and St. Peterskirche).

With its distinctive twin sugar-loafed towers, and a venerable history at the heart of the Swiss-German Reformation, the Grossmunster “ or Great Minster “ dominates Zurich´s skyline.

At 871 meters above sea level, Uetliberg towers over the roofs of Zürich.
The mountain affords an impressive panoramic view of the city, the lake and the Alps. Starting from the station at Uetliberg you can follow a trail to Felsenegg which takes you on a tour through a model of our solar system.

The Uetliberg is particularly popular in November, as its summit is often above the blanket of fog that can cover the city at this time of year. In the winter, the hiking trails to the summit are converted into sledging runs.

In this zoo visitors can come into direct contact with animals.
At the Zúrich Zoo you can see many protected animal species, or species in danger of extinction. One section, housing particularly exotic creatures, is now home to birds from the tropical rain forests, apes and reptiles, often together with other species, in surroundings that perfectly replicate their natural habitat.
Its aim is to make visitors aware of the importance of caring for both the environment’s plants and animals.
