Alentejo Coast (South)
Located in the southwest of Portugal, Lisbon and 1 hour to 2 hours of the Algarve, the South of Alentejo Coast integrates 2 Districts, Setúbal and Beja, subdivided into 5 Counties: Alcacer do Sal, Grandola, Santiago do Cacém, Sines and Beja, each with their very own characteristics.
This region includes still 3 protected areas: Sado Estuary, Santo André and Sancha Lagoons and Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina.
Ideal location from which to explore nature, to practice sea and river activities or just let yourself relax and enjoy the Alentejo landscapes and beautiful beaches. But this region so unique to Portugal is not just sun, beach and nature. It is also gastronomy, culture and has a visible ancient history through its monuments and its people.

How to arrive?
Come South or North of Portugal, the best option is to A2. If coming from the north should exit at Grândola / Sines and then drive through the IC33 towards Sines. Should South Africa should go on Aljustrel / Sines and follow the direction of Santiago do Cacém / Sines by N261.
For those who prefer public transport there is the option to travel by bus and may consult timetables and prices in www.rede-expressos.pt.
When to Visit?
Any time of year is great to visit this region. But in case if you prefer to enjoy the beaches is the recommended we visit between April and October.
If you want to participate in a single event, the World Music Festival, will visit us between 17 and 25 July.
