The National Archives of India is the repository of the non-current records of the Government of India and is holding them in trust for the use of administrators and scholars.
The musem places the records from the year 1748 untill nowadays, which are in English, Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit, Modi, Urdu etc.,
Besides the records on paper, you will also find records on palm leaf, birch bark, parchment etc.
The collection is divided in four categories : Public Records, Oriental Records, Manuscripts and Private Papers.
