Until 1980 It was a small grocery located in São Martinho, Funchal. After that date, the owner, Mr João de Freitas decided to add to the business a small tabern, and in his spare time prepare some drinks one of which is commonly known for "Pé de Cabra".
After his death, the sons Carlos Freitas and Nuno Freitas, decided to transform the grocery into what is known today as "Pé de Cabra".
