ORIENTATION
Seville extends along the Guadalquivir River, with the biggest part of the city on the eastern bank.
The old town’s centre is the Plaza Nueva, where the town hall is placed. On the north of this square it’s the commercial area and on the south you will find the Cathedral of Girald and a bit more to the south, the Alcazar Palace. Western from the Nueva Square is the arenal and eastern is the Alfalfa, an area with bars and restaurants.
BEST TIME TO GO
Seville is one of the warmest cities in Europe, with a Mediterranean, with oceanic influences climate. The best time to visit would be in spring or autumn.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Seville International Airport is located about 9 km from the city centre. A bus service runs every 30 minutes and costs approx. €2.40. Taxis take around 25 minutes to the centre for about €20.
TRAVELLING AROUND
Seville has a great public transportation system. Metro and buses (www.tussam.es) are frequent and connect the most important places.
