The Tate Modern is the English gallery for British and modern art par excellence. To celebrate the millennium in 2000, Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron transformed an old building, glassed it over and designed a fabulous space inside.

From the top floor of the Tate you get some fantastic views of London.
