Inaugurated on June 6, 1976 , is a regional museum , with very heterogeneous collections ( ethnography , archeology , painting, sculpture, photography and others) and temporary exhibitions . The Museum is housed in a villa of the early twentieth century , the former summer home of the writer and journalist , Dr. Joaquim Manso - founder of the " Diário de Lisboa " - and donated to the State by Nazarene meritorious Amadeu Gaudêncio .
A documentary and artistic surroundings, the museum current route , especially highlights the maritime ethnography, by exposing the various types of artisanal fishing vessels of Nazareth and the traditional costume. Not forgetting the archeology, the history of the village and Marian devotion of Our Lady of Nazareth.
