The Viera y Clavijo Cultural Park is a garden area which is located very close to one of the entrances to the city.
Inside the park you can find the old Colegio de la Asunción [school], a neo-gothic church established by a Belgian nuns congregation in 1905 which is a property of Cultural Interest. Subsequently it has become a centre for exhibitions, conferences. We also found the Teatro Pérez Minik and one of the most important sculptures of the First International Exhibition of Sculptures in the Street, "Femme Bouteille" by Joan Miró, a Cultural catalogued also as a Property of Cultural Interest.
The park also has a small playground with swings and other areas for children.
