It is located in the center of the city, in the square that bears its name, "Plaza San Francisco". It was built between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries in the so-called baroque mestizo style. The church is open for tours Monday through Saturday in the evenings. Otherwise, travelers can admire the structure from the plaza in front of the chuch, near Calle Sagarnaga and the Witches' Market.
