Quinta das Cruzes is in the centre of Funchal and is a house of important historical value because it was the official residence of João Gonçalves Zarco. Today it is a museum with a vast collection of decorative art and antiques from the seventeenth and eighteenth century. Quinta das Cruzes is wrapped in a beautiful garden with exotic flowers, trees and other flora species.
