La Báscula is a vegetarian restaurant in the Born area. It's an old chocolate factory, and still has the original scales used for weighing as part of the floor just inside the entrance.

The menu has a good select of salads, crepes, pastas and sandwiches and cakes, all made on the premises and reasonably priced.

An impressive list of drinks runs from chai to Gliwein, taking in cocktails, milkshakes, smoothies and iced tea.

It is only open evenings from Wednesday to Friday, and on Saturdays you can also go for lunch.

Mosquito is mostly an Asian tapas (small portions) bar with a great selection of beers: Belgium, Dutch, French and, of course, Catalan beers brewed near Barcelona.
This fine tapas bar tucked away on C/ Carders in the St Pere part of town is a great place to come and dine, chat, listen to cool music and relax.
There are many vegetarian dishes and of those that aren't, many of them can be made vegetarian, either by substituting the ingredients or leaving some out. The atmosphere is friendly and intimate.
